Everlast MMA, an established boxing, mixed martial arts, and fitness training equipment company for many years, has signed an exclusive contract with former UFC Heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar. News of the partnership emerged in the media earlier today, and is already getting mixed reviews. Brock Lesnar had this to say in regards to his new esteemed sponsor: "I’m truly excited to be a part of the Everlast family," said Lesnar. "Everlast MMA training equipment is the best in the industry. I’ve been able to take my training to a new level since installing their 30-foot competition cage at my DeathClutch Gym. I look forward to a long and rewarding partnership with Everlast." The most likely culprit to the mixed response that this news is garnering is most likely due to the position that Brock Lesnar is currently in. He has been on the shelf for months after a recurrence of diverticulitis, which came after his brutal knockout loss to fellow former UFC Heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez. A Lesnar victory at UFC 141 will surely make Everlast Equipment look like a genius, whereas a loss would gain nothing more than “I told you so” from a multitude of fans.
