Jon Jones was the first fighter in UFC history to land a sponsorship deal with the UFC for his epic UFC 145 fight against Rashad Evans. “Bones” has made it clear that he doesn’t want to be one of those fighters that puts on all kinds of sponsor logos throughout his walkout and fight apparel. His ultimate goal was to be the first fighter to become sponsored by the sports apparel giant Nike. Well, it seems those dreams have come true as MMAFighting.com reports, Jones is the first UFC fighter to land a global deal with Nike. “Bones” took to Twitter to announce the deal to his fans as shown below. With Jones’ recent issue with the law, critics and fans have wondered if his ability to land a big name sponsor like Nike had been hindered. We can expect to see Jones sporting the world-famous Swoosh at this UFC 151 fight against Dan Henderson. As a part of this ground-breaking sponsorship deal, Jones will be featured on worldwide Nike advertising campaigns, and he will have his own signature line. The new signature line is expected to be announced within a week, so stay tuned to FighterStyle for the breaking news.
