Topics: MMA Clothing

Ranger Up breaks into the mainstream world of popular MMA apparel with their unique, inspiring collection of military inspired tees for Spring 2012. They truly raise the bar with these four spectacular designs, created with our Nation’s military in mind. The shirts featured are the Lord Have Mercy, SPQR Roman Legion, MAC-V-SOG Vintage, and the Double Tap designs.

The Lord Have Mercy shirt is conceived from the concept of having no mercy when it comes to our enemies. It refers to our brave soldiers who lay down their lives to defend our country. The front graphics feature a shield, with the words “May the Lord Have Mercy on My Enemies.” That statement is followed up by a soldier aiming a gun on the back, with “Because I Won’t” completing the shirt’s message along with a Ranger Up logo.

The SPQR Roman Legion shirt is representative of the Roman Legions of history, proving to be masters of combat with unsurpassed spirit and strength. SPQR stands for Senatus Populusque Romanus, which actually means “The Senate and the People of Rome.” The design truly encompasses those values, expressing the quote, “Out of every one hundred men, ten shouldn’t even be there, eighty are just targets, nine are the real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, for they make the battle. Ah, but the one, one is a warrior, and he will bring the others back.” The front features a rustic design showing a Roman soldier with his sword and shield, headed into battle.

Ranger Up’s MAC-V-SOG Vintage design is actually a reference to the Military Assistance Command, Vietnam Studies and Observations Group, which is a Special Operations unit of the United States military that created the Special Forces, Navy SEALS, and Marine Force Recon around the time of the Vietnam War. A shield is featured in the center, with a skull and the MAC-V-SOG name inside it. Mission names appear on the left sleeve of the tee, and the group’s name makes another appearance on the back along with a Ranger Up logo and the effective dates of the organization. These men defined the elite soldier known by society today, and this creative tee pays tribute to that fact.

The final piece to Ranger Up’s Spring 2012 collection comes in the form of the Double Tap shirt. This straightforward design is an example of those who serve our country needing to use force in some cases to protect our people. Ranger Up describes the idea by describing the fact that only 1% of our population actually belongs to the military or police forces, whereas the rest of the people either judge them for their actions or support them for their bravery. The graphic shows “The Double Tap: Repeat As Necessary” on the front, along with a target practice dummy complete with bullet holes. The back reads, “When In Doubt, Empty the Magazine.”
