UFC 132: Cruz vs Faber PPV Fight Preview

Topics: MMA Lifestyle

UFC 132 is definitely one of the more exciting cards this year, including action-packed fights from top to bottom. The main event itself, ‘The California Kid’ Uriah Faber vs. Dominick ‘The Dominator’ Cruz is one of the most highly anticipated rematches recently to come about; it’s not only their well-matched skill sets that make fans yearn to see them square off, but also their personal ‘beef’, which effectively adds fuel to the fire. Another highly anticipated main-card fight is the matchup between brutal strikers Wanderlei ‘The Axe Murderer’ Silva and Chris ‘The Crippler’ Leben, which, with their numerous combined career knockouts, promises blood-pumping action, and hopefully an exciting finish. Tito Ortiz also makes an appearance on the main card of UFC 132; pitted against rising star Ryan Bader, ‘The Huntington Beach Bad Boy’ will make an attempt at his first win in several years, and try to keep his job in the UFC, while ‘Darth’ will try to recover from his loss to Jon ‘Bones’ Jones in his most recent fight. The real question is, can Ortiz stuff Bader’s takedowns? Another exciting matchup is the bout between Carlos ‘Natural Born Killer’ Condit and Dong Hyun ‘Stun Gun’ Kim; the Greg Jackson-trained Condit looks to extend his winning streak and make a case for title contention status with another impressive octagon win, while 14-0 Kim looks to maintain his perfect record and continue to climb up the UFC ranks as well. Rounding out the main card at UFC 132 is an interesting lightweight bout between Germany’s Dennis Siver and Matt ‘Handsome’ Wiman. Siver, riding a 3-fight win streak, hopes to continue to climb the lightweight ‘ladder’ with another impressive victory, and maybe we’ll see some great spinning back kicks along the way; Wiman, also currently on a 3-fight win streak, aims to do the same. Even the undercard features some great matchups, including Melvin Guillard vs. Shane Roller, George Sotiropoulos vs. Rafael Dos Anjos, Brian Bowles vs. Takeya Mizugaki, and Anthony Njokuani vs. Andre Winner. It’s a must-see, people!
